I studied visual arts at the University of Idaho and earned my BA from The Evergreen State College with an emphasis in studio art. I am currently enrolled in the MFA in Visual Studies program at the Pacific Northwest College of Art, in Portland Oregon. I am continuously developing my identity, presence, and portfolio as an artist.
For me, creating ambiguous imagery is an intuitive and incantatory process, a form of calculated improvisation. I describe my work in this way because I believe that it is a process of escorting new forms of visual content into existence, rather than attempting to represent natural forms or to mimic the natural world. With each unique composition, I aim to provide viewers with a sensory experience that is visually captivating and prompting of contemplative introspection.
